Rodda's Radiotherapy A Huge Success

Rodda's Radiotherapy went off at Durham Marriot on 18th October to raise funds for the Northern Centre for Cancer Care, and was a huge success raising £3,547 to help NCCC in their life saving work. The evening was a lot of fun and included events such as the photo booth with a variety of different props, (we will try and get some pictures here shortly), stand up bingo, the raffle and the auction, with a disco to finish the night.

Thanks to the generosity of business and individuals alike, there were a huge number of prizes won on the night all raising funds

The evening highlighted how amazing the Rodda family, and other families in the same situation are, and drove home the importance of the cause.

A big thank you to everyone who donated items for the events and funds, who attended and who made the night a success.

There was a photogographer on the night and we filmed most of the proceedings, so we will have some pictures and a video here for you shortly.

Emma's Story

I am hosting a fundraising evening on the 18 October 2014 at Durham Marriott Hotel, starting at 7pm the night will involve a disco, raffle, bingo and other fundraising events.

The fundraiser is on behalf of the Northern Centre for Cancer care and it is a personal event that is close to my heart. My father was diagnosed with advanced mouth cancer 2 weeks before Christmas 2013 and has recently finished his treatment with the NCCC and we are awaiting the results.

The work that the staff do is second to none but it relies hugely on the support and generosity of the general public to provide a life saving service to so many and with 1 in 3 of us to be diagnosed with such a devastating disease the work they do is so vital to so many families.

Whatever the outcome of his treatment my dad wants to thank the NCCC in the best way he can by donating money to provide the unit with more life saving equipment in the hope of saving the life of someone else.
